Nyambura Thanji is a highly skilled finance and audit professional with over 16 years of experience in risk management, grants administration, and project management. With a solid foundation in financial analysis, auditing, and organizational capacity building, she has successfully overseen complex programs, managed multi-million-dollar budgets, and implemented robust financial systems and controls.

As a Practicing Auditor (Thanji & Partners CPA-K) and former Finance Manager and Global Subgrants and Partnerships Coordinator at an International NGO, Nyambura led the design and execution of financial procedures, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and achieving clean audits across multiple programs.

She has been instrumental in capacity building, training over 100 partners/subgrantees in financial management and risk mitigation, while developing systems that enhanced organizational efficiency and accountability.

Nyambura has travelled across Africa to provide in country/in person support to partners and subgrantees in Benin, Senegal, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Tunisia, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, Ghana, Zambia, Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Burundi, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda. She therefore understands different African contexts and is a champion when it comes to localization.
